As reported earlier today from WMC-TV, Jerry "The King" Lawler was slated to undergo heart surgery.
The article stated:
(WMC-TV) — Jerry "The King" Lawler will have heart surgery Tuesday after suffering a heart attack during an WWE event Monday night.
The 62-year-old is in stable condition and is breathing on his own at a hospital in Montreal, Canada.
According to WWE.com, Lawler collapsed at the announcers' table and was given CPR before being rushed to a hospital in Montreal.
Since this post, Lawler underwent the surgery and it was successful. In fact, former WWE Diva and ex-wife Stacy Carter took to Twitter to update fans:

Even though Lawler's surgery went well, he still has a very long road ahead. Recovery from heart surgery could last weeks—even months depending on the health of the patient. So it could be some time before we see "The King" back at the announce table.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if WWE had him on prior to his return via satellite just to update fans. Hopefully, Lawler will have a speedy recovery and will only step in the ring for interviews or to host Diva contests.
In the end, this was a sad event that took place and fortunately, WWE had the proper staff in place to save Lawler.
