Big Show may be temporarily headed to Japan in exchange for one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time in Keiji Mutoh aka The Great Muta.
WWE has recently begun a partnership with All Japan Pro Wrestling. While what that relationship will become is still up in the air, there are rumors of a WWE/AJPW talent exchange.
Marc Middleton at Wrestlinginc.com reports of "rumblings of some kind of talent exchange where Big Show may be set to make an appearance for AJPW in exchange for a WWE appearance by The Great Muta."
This is all too uncertain at this point to get too excited about it just yet, but the trade would add an infusion of exhilaration into both wrestling promotions and would be mutually beneficial.
Having wrestled for WCW against the likes of Sting and Ric Flair, Mutoh has a history with U.S. audiences.
Whether he reprises his Great Muta gimmick or wrestles under his real name, Mutoh brings an electric energy and a unique style to WWE.
Fans unfamiliar with his work will marvel at his Shining Wizard move and will love when he spits mist into his opponent's eyes.
Matches with Daniel Bryan or Dolph Ziggler could be instant classics.

WWE doesn’t
have a great resume when it comes to booking Japanese wrestlers, but on
a short-term run with a guy many fans already know, they may not have
to do all that much.
Stick him in the ring, and let the magic happen.
As for AJPW, Big Show's immense size is even more of an asset in Japan.
Many of the wrestlers on AJPW's roster would be considered cruiserweights in WWE. Big Show offers them a giant-sized alternative.
WWE fans are somewhat numb to his massiveness now, but Japanese fans will be wearing out their camera-clicking fingers.
If this does pan out, fans can thank Mr. Excitement himself, John Laurinaitis.
Laurinaitis, who wrestled in Japan for several years, has met with AJPW president Masayuki Uchida and could broker a monumental deal.
Here's hoping those meetings result in a strong bond between the two companies and big-time talent exchanges like Big Show and Mutoh and beyond.
