ith Night of Champions happening in a few short weeks, WWE has figured out how to set up the best matches at an event where titles have to be on the line.
One of the biggest matches of the year, just for sheer storytelling purposes, is what will happen with CM Punk and John Cena. There would seem to be one logical conclusion to that match, but we don't know what WWE has in store.
That mystery makes it an intriguing matchup. I think it is better for storyline purposes if Cena doesn't win the title until he gets his (likely) rematch with The Rock, who will win the title at the Royal Rumble.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER TO ROCK WRESTLEMANIA AGAIN

Boxing sensation Floyd Mayweather is no stranger to a WWE ring, having taken part in WrestleMania 24 in 2008 against Big Show. It turns out that he isn't done with wrestling, because he said in a radio interview on Tuesday that he will be crashing WrestleMania 29 in New York.

Our Take: Like he did five years ago, Mayweather will likely be put in a scenario that looks dangerous but really does nothing to him physically. Plus, in a surprise moment, his match with Big Show was one of the best on the card, so why not get him back in the ring to see what he can do?

Unlike most outsiders WWE brings in to work a match, at least Mayweather has an understanding of how to work a crowd. The fact that he is such a good, natural heel gives him a distinct advantage over most people.

FANS GAVE US TRIPLE H'S SPEECH ON MONDAY

Wrestling fans are so dumb that they can't even take a simple hint following a match. All the crowd had to do was start crying like children with a skinned knee after Triple H lost at SummerSlam and we could have avoided that whole speech on Monday, according to a report. But no, fans had to be skeptical about a wrestler potentially retiring.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Did Triple H's speech help?
Our Take: No, and I will tell you why in two simple words: Card placement. If Triple H was really going to retire, don't you think it would have been done at a WrestleMania with some hype that it could be his last match? Don't you also think WWE would put his potential retirement as the final segment on Raw instead of the 10 p.m. top-of-the-hour segment?

Wrestling fans know better than to take a retirement or firing angle seriously. How many times have we seen it over the last five years? How many of those stars actually stayed retired? You have Shawn Michaels and...Bueller...Bueller.

JUST LIKE REAL LIFE, TRIPLE H HOGS RADAR SPOTLIGHT

Since there is so much new stuff out there about Triple H right now, we had to dedicate two sections to him. This one surrounds a report that his return match could be changing. It was originally thought to be a rematch with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, but now it could be that Triple H won't work again until WrestleMania.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is it still going to be against Lesnar?
Our Take: That is the most confusing part about this. Everyone seems to agree that Lesnar vs. Undertaker is the money match for WrestleMania. If Triple H has designs of taking Undertaker's spot, the interest in a Lesnar match will plummet, because I don't sense there is a lot of love for another match between the two.

Unless there is some big name that WWE can coax into a one-off WrestleMania match with Triple H, I really do fear he will take Undertaker's spot with Lesnar. Perhaps Triple H will be the one working with Floyd Mayweather.

Since WWE can't have Ziggler winning too many matches—what with that pesky briefcase he is carrying around—it makes sense that he gets put into a match with Randy Orton with the Viper winning clean.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What will WWE do with Orton?
Our Take: That is one of the great mysteries on SmackDown right now. He just lost clean via armbar to Alberto Del Rio last week, which was a surprise. This week, he got a win back, but what is his next big feud? I can honestly say I don't know right now.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Apex Predators
Even if Ziggler can't go over in too many matches, at least we can take comfort in knowing the main event of SmackDown will be very good. That is more than can be said for the long, drawn-out endings that have happened on Raw since that show moved to three hours.
