The Monday, Sept. 3 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from Chicago, Illinois. Monday Night Raw continued to build up its upcoming pay-per-view, Night of Champions.
The show also featured General Manager AJ Lee suffering what appeared to be a nervous breakdown in the ring after her confrontation with Vickie Guerrero. This led to further question if Lee can handle her current role as General Manager of Raw.

Match #1: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler
Your winner via pin fall: Dolph Ziggler. An excellent, opening match for Monday Night Raw. WWE needed a good match like this to jump start Raw.
Match Rating: 4/5

Match #2: Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Tensai and Cody Rhodes
Your winners via pin fall: Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. Mysterio and Sin Cara did a nice job being tag team partners for the first time ever. This was a good follow-up to the first match that opened Raw.
Match Rating: 3.5/5

Your winner via submission: Sheamus. Before the match, CM Punk decided to take the night off because it was Labor Day. Swagger, who looked better in this match than in recent months, did a good job filling in for Punk.
However, the crowd was very silent after all their energy was taken out of the match when Punk left.
Match Rating: 3/5

Match #4: Eve vs. Kaitlyn
Your winner via pin fall: Eve. A decent Divas match, in which saw Eve continue to play her role showing good sportsmanship.
Match Rating: 2.5/5

Match #5: Ryback vs. Jinder Mahal
Your winner via pin fall: Ryback. Another quick victory for Ryback. He is dominating every wrestler he faces in the ring. WWE may see great benefits in the future if they continue to build up Ryback.
Match Rating: 2.5/5

In a WWE Twitter interaction poll, wrestling fans voted on Daniel Bryan and Kane to hug instead of a match. After hesitation and several attempts, Bryan and Kane finally hug in the center of the ring. However, the happiness by Bryan and Kane was short lived after both began fighting in the ring.

Match #6: Santino Marella vs. Antonio Cesaro for the United States Championship
Your winner via pin fall: Antonio Cesaro. A complete squash match, as it seems Marella is fading fast from any more chances of recapturing the United States title.
Match Rating: 2/5

Match #7: Heath Slater vs. Zack Ryder
Your winner via pin fall: Zack Ryder. What is the advantage to a three-hour Raw? Featuring Ryder continue his short winning streak.
Match Rating: 2.5/5

Match #8: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio
Your winner via pin fall: Alberto Del Rio.
Match Rating: 4.5/5
While battling backstage, Punk returned to Raw and knocked Cena out with a leg boot. After the pin fall by Del Rio, Punk lifted Cena and hit an Attitude Adjustment on his car. As the car begins to drive away, Paul Heyman returned to the WWE and stared at Cena.
That was a very entertaining, falls-count-anywhere match. The match had great in-ring action and both wrestlers did a good job taking the battle backstage.
The ending to Raw was also done nicely, with Punk attacking Cena and Heyman appearing back on WWE television.
